Community of Hope (COH)
Community of Hope at St. Francis by the Lake is a community of lay volunteer pastoral caregivers united in prayer; shaped by Benedictine spirituality and equipped for and serving in pastoral care ministries, which involve compassionate listening and responding to the spiritual needs of those around them. Pastoral caregiver training is conducted every other year using the Community of Hope International curriculum and models. After training is completed, individuals may choose to be commissioned for service. Identification and discernment of each person’s ministry is a part of the training journey. COH members attend monthly Circle of Care gatherings which encompass spiritual growth, continuing education, community building, ministry support and fellowship.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
Any woman of St. Francis by the Lake is a member of the ECW. While fellowship, prayer, support, and encouragement are our aims, we also look outside ourselves to provide a variety of ministries to the parish, as well as our communities. We meet on the second Thursday of each month for fellowship and a program--hopefully of interest!--for members.

Highway Clean-up
You're invited to join us in this wonderful ministry to help brighten up a bit of our community around Canyon Lake. We've adopted a 2-mile stretch of FM2673 as part of the Texas Adopt-a-Highway program and meet quarterly to pick up the trash along this stretch in Sattler. It's always a fun morning! We start with donuts and conversation and the split out into treasure hunting groups - you never know what sort of interesting item you may find along the side of the road. Please check the parish calendar on the Calendar & Events tab for the next date.

Navajoland
We've been invited to the work of growing relationship on the Reservation. Our focus is on the “Utah region” which includes St. Christopher's in Bluff, St. Mary's in the Moonlight, Oljato, and St. John the Baptizer, Montezuma Creek.
Our intent, therefore, is to go and be with them. We hope to create an environment in which we can share food and stories, exchange ideas, and get to know one another. Our priority is relationship. Our goals include building trust and experiencing mutual growth.
If your interested in mission work in Navajoland please contact the office.
