Dear Friends,
Our parish is about to take one of the most ambitious and most faithful steps in her history. Over our 30 years, others have sacrificed to build so that we might have our present facilities. It is now our time to sacrifice: not only for those who will be coming after us, but also so that those with vision for the ministries they are presently engaged in can respond to God’s call. Now is the time for us to move into a bright new future. We are all being called to give our time, talent, and gifts as we have never done before. Laid before us is a great challenge. We can and will succeed. I hope you have been praying for this project with the prayer, “Lord, what do You want to do through me?” It has been on my heart for months. I have every confidence this is the right thing to do, the right time to do it, and we are the right people to get it done. Right now, please begin to pray about sacrifice. We hear about Jesus’ sacrifice, and the sacrifices of the holy men and women of old, but few of us have ever considered this Biblical principle when it comes to our faith lived out now. If all of us sacrifice, we will not only reach our campaign’s financial objectives, we will exceed them. God has a will for you and me. Let us seek it together. In His amazing love, Fr. David Chalk |
