The Brotherhood of St. Francis
at St. Francis by the Lake Church

The Brotherhood of St. Francis men’s group held their first meeting in January 2006 as Brotherhood of St. Andrew. The group has since agreed to reorganize as the "Brotherhood of St. Francis" and not affiliate with the International Anglican Men's group. The brotherhood will continue with the disciplines of prayer, study, and service and will definitely continue with service projects at the church.   All of the men of the church are considered members or associates and are welcome to participate in any Brotherhood of St. Francis meeting or service project.

Our Brotherhood Disciplines are:

The Discipline of Prayer is to pray daily for the spread of Christ’s Kingdom among men, especially youth, and for God’s blessing on the labors of the Brotherhood.

The Discipline of Service is to make continuous efforts, week by week, to bring others nearer to Christ through His Church.

The Discipline of Study is to study the Holy Scriptures regularly and the teachings of the Church to attain an understanding of how to follow Christ and bring others to Him.

Our meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.   Each meeting begins with fellowship followed by a short worship and scripture reading before business is discussed.

Recent Projects:  Helping with the ECW/Brotherhood of St. Andrew Rummage sale. Serving at the ECW English Garden Tea, renovating the new building for use by the church. Preparing and serving Shrove Tuesday Pancakes, Church grounds cleanup days, and making and installing three wooden crosses at the Church entrance.
